Held Thursdays, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. October 15, 29, and November 5, 12, 2009.
This 4 session (2 hours each session) is for graduate students who are interested in learning about career options outside of academia. The focus is on identifying one’s values, motivations, transferable skills and developing related and effective job search strategies from these. Offered once each semester, it is most useful for students in the humanities and social sciences, but is open to those in science and engineering on a limited basis. Participants must commit to attending all four sessions.
Pre-registration is required. If interested, please email a short paragraph describing your background and reasons for wanting to participate to Lisa Anderson by Friday, October 2. Limited to 10 participants.
