Admissions
The Graduate School encompasses all post-baccalaureate programs
except those in the Law School
and the Mendoza College
of Business, which administer their own admissions. We
offer master's and doctoral degrees in humanities, social
sciences, science, engineering and architecture. As a Catholic
research university, we offer first-rate academic training
in an environment that addresses questions of value and meaning.
Faculty invest in the lives of our graduate students, equipping
them to pass on a vision of inquiry, scholarship, teaching,
and service.
While The Graduate School processes graduate applications,
faculty in each degree program
determine admission standards. Their standards are high. Students
are accepted based on more than objective performance; departments
will also consider a student's focused interests with those
of the program, letters of recommendation, and research and
internship experiences.
