The Graduate School is pleased to partner with the renowned Fischoff National Chamber Music Association to offer graduate students FREE tickets to the competition’s grand prize concert on Sunday, May 15, 3:30 in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
The Fischoff competition is the nation’s largest chamber music competition; each year, an average of 125 ensembles, representing 22 nationalities, enter in either the wind or string categories. More information is available at the Fischoff Competition website.
The Awards Ceremony and Gold Medalist Concert will begin with the presentation of the bronze, silver and gold medals in each of the Junior, Senior String and Senior Wind Divisions. The gold medalists in each division will perform immediately thereafter. It is great fun to see the reactions of the ensemble members, and to have them perform immediately is thrilling.
The tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Graduate School office, 502 Main, from 8 am to 5 pm daily.
