More than 450 incoming graduate students will descend on the Jordan Hall of Science on Friday for the Graduate School Orientation from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The orientation session, sponsored by the Graduate School and the Graduate Student Union, will include an information fair and will be followed by a presentation from Acting Dean Chris Maziar, Associate Dean for Professional Development Laura Carlson, Associate Dean for Students John Lubker and GSU President Doug Rice.

A number of departments around campus will be present for the information fair, providing information to new graduate students about a number of services available for students. Those expected to be present include the Hesburgh Libraries, Notre Dame Security Police, Campus Ministry, Office of Information Technologies and the Graduate School Professional Development program.

Following the proceedings at Jordan Hall, a prayer service for all graduate students will be led by Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C, the President of the University of Notre Dame, at 5 p.m. at the Grotto.
