Graduate Students Enjoy a Performance of Mountain Heart. . .and the Reception Following

Nearly 200 Notre Dame graduate students and their guests enjoyed a performance of the six-man acoustic band Mountain Heart on Thursday, September 20th, at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center on campus.

The performance was followed by a wine and cheese reception on the center’s terrace. Students mingled with each other, with many students meeting peers from other departments or programs. The musicians joined the reception as well, capping off the evening with an a cappella rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

Tickets to the performance and the reception were underwritten by the Graduate School and The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. In its fourth year, the partnership between the two campus entities provides graduate students with opportunities throughout the year to attend performances free of charge.

The next events at the center for graduate students will be performances of the all-Cuban Tiempo Libre band on Friday, January 25th, and the David Parsons Dance Company on Thursday, February 7. Students will be notified by email in early January about ticket pickup.
