Call for Programs
The GCC Chicago conference planning committee invites program proposals for conference sessions for the 2013 conference. In the past, GCC conferences have included a best practices showcase (colloquially known as “Show and Tell”) where each institution shared innovative programs and practices. Because of the growth of our organization, this format is becoming less effective.
We are seeking proposals for sessions that will provide conference attendees with new strategies and innovative approaches for enhancing our work with graduate students and post docs at our respective campuses. Possible topics could include professional skills development programming, resources to support student advising and career exploration, advising strategies for working with students leaving their PhD programs, program assessment, and many, many more.
If you have a unique idea for a session please submit the following information via email to Rebecca Bryant by Monday, January 28, 2013.
- Program Title
- Presenter(s): Include name and contact information for each presenter.
- Approximate length and format of session (i.e.: presentation, panel, demonstration, etc.)
- Program Description (500 words or less). Please include
- A description of session content
- Relevance to GCC membership
- Goals of presentation (Based upon this presentation participants will…)
If you have questions about program submissions, feel free to contact Rebecca Bryant
We look forward to hosting you in Chicago this June!
