Kronos Quartet

All graduate students are invited to attend a performance of the world-renowned Kronos Quartet at the University’s DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (DPAC) on Friday, March 27, 2009, 7:00 p.m. In addition to presenting several of its original compositions, the legendary quartet will premiere a new work that evening: “Transylvania Horn Courtship,” composed by Terry Riley and commissioned by the DPAC. More information on the performance is available at the DPAC website.

In the Fall of 2008, the Graduate School hosted its first event for graduate students at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. That performance, The Hot Club of San Francisco, was attended by over 400 graduate students and their guests.

All graduate students are invited to reserve a complimentary ticket for themselves and a guest by e-mailing grad.school.event@gmail.com by the end of the day, Friday, March 20. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can pick up their tickets the week of the performance, March 23 through Wednesday, March 25, at the front desk of The Graduate School, Room 502, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Students with special seating needs or questions should contact Tracy Zielke in the Graduate School at 1-5536.
