Guanhao Zhou
The Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS) is pleased to congratulate Ph.D. student Guanhao Zhou on receiving a 2026 ICSA Student Paper Award from the International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) at the 2026 ICSA Applied Statistics Symposium.
Zhou, who conducts research in statistics and machine learning, received the award for his paper, “Covariate-Adjusted Deep Causal Learning for Heterogeneous Panel Data Models,” which was recognized among the symposium’s top student research contributions. This paper was co-authored by ACMS Assistant Professors Dr. Yuefeng Han and Zhou's advisor Dr. Xiufan Yu. The award highlights the quality of doctoral scholarship within the ACMS graduate program.
The International Chinese Statistical Association is one of the leading professional organizations promoting research and education in statistics and data science worldwide. The annual ICSA Applied Statistics Symposium brings together researchers from academia, industry, and government to share advances in statistical methodology and applications.
