Reflections of Recent Mathematics Graduates

Author: Evan Bryson

Five recent Notre Dame Mathematics graduates—now in faculty and postdoctoral positions around the globe—were asked to offer a reflection on their experiences as a doctoral student at the University. Three themes are apparent in those reflections: superb mentoring from their Notre Dame advisors, a departmental emphasis on collaboration, and outstanding opportunities for professional development—in the areas of teaching, publication, and attendance at conferences.
