The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award is on hiatus for 2021.
Description of the Award
The Distinguished Graduate Alumnus/a Award is given annually to a graduate alumnus/a of the University who has distinguished him- or herself in scholarly or research pursuits, in the community, or in society at large.
The recipient will receive a citation and attend the Graduate School Awards Dinner and Commencement ceremony.

Nominees must have received either a master’s or Ph.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame and made a distinctive contribution to his or her field, or community, or to society at large with a discernible connection to her or his graduate program at Notre Dame.
Nominations may be submitted by faculty members, department chairs, and directors of graduate studies. Please submit the name of the nominee along with a) a concise statement that describes why this alumna/alumnus deserves to be recognized and what makes him/her distinguished; and b) an updated CV if possible and/or a link to a website with information about the candidate. We have ready access to a list of all graduates from your program from 2000-2017, and are currently compiling a list of graduates from 1980-2000 from the archives. If this list would assist in your selection, let us know and we will furnish it to you. Nominations should be submitted here.
The Selection Committee consists of the Dean of the Graduate School and the Associate Deans for Graduate Studies in each of the colleges.
