The master of arts in Theology at Notre Dame is for working professionals who desire to strengthen, enrich, and broaden their understanding of the Catholic theological tradition. The MA curriculum offers two format tracks. Each track is anchored in a different mode of learning: Hybrid Online or Summer Residential learning. The Hybrid Online track allows students to study primarily online. The Summer Residential track allows students to primarily study in residence at Notre Dame during the summer, supplemented by online learning.
A note on written application materials: to allow the application to reflect the applicant's own unmodified voice, this program requires applicants not to use AI at all in composing their responses. This includes "proofreading" functions within apps like Grammarly that give wording suggestions.
