Program
Bioengineering: PhD
Fellowship Received
Richard and Peggy Notebaert Premier Fellowship (2022)

Frank earned his bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Georgia Tech in 2021. There, he worked on increasing physiologic relevance of microfluidic tissue models of the lower lung. The rich campus culture and growing Ph.D. program surrounding the bioengineering program led him to Notre Dame, where he joined the Zorlutuna lab in 2022. Frank is mainly interested in leveraging stem cell-derived tissues to develop new therapies. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in academia as a professor, where he will continue to be a mentor and advance the field of tissue engineering.
