In this episode, hosts Ben and Will sat down with Eleonora Celora, a Ph.D. candidate at the Medieval Institute. Eleonora's research focuses on hagiography (writing a biography in a way that flatters or idealizes the subject) and its manifestation in Western liturgical manuscripts. In particular, she is fascinated by the narrative created by the interaction between text and music and its relation with the surrounding cultural environment. On the podcast, Ben and Will talked with Eleonora about liturgical manuscripts as works of art, moving to France without knowing French, and creating a tool to help others understand medieval liturgical texts.
