Description of the Award

The James A. Burns, C.S.C., Award recognizes outstanding faculty mentorship and showcases our very best doctoral advisers and the value of positive mentor/mentee relationships.

Eligibility Criteria

A nominee should be a tenured member of the faculty and a doctoral adviser in the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Engineering, or Science; the Keough School of Global Affairs; or the Mendoza College of Business.

Nomination Procedure

Department chairs, academic deans, faculty colleagues, and students are invited to submit a nomination for the Burns Award.
