Theology Doctoral Students Win International Honors

Three Ph.D. candidates in the University of Notre Dame’s Department of Theology have recently been awarded prestigious fellowships from organizations such as the American Academy in Rome, Harvard University’s Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, the Dolores Zorhab Liebmann Foundation, and the Louisville Institute.

New Graduate Minor Focuses on Screen Culture

Six Notre Dame graduate students win Fulbright Awards in 2011 competition

A record number of six students in the Graduate School have earned coveted grants in the 2011 Fulbright U.S. Student Program competition. The Fulbright Program operates in more than 155 countries worldwide and provides nearly 1,500 U.S. students the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research abroad for one year.

Students in new global health graduate program evaluate Haiti cholera project

Incoming students Annette Ruth and Lindsey McAlarnen, who will join Notre Dame's new Master of Science in Global Health degree program in the fall, are in Haiti with Eck Institute member and project leader Juan Carlos Guzmán to evaluate cholera programs implemented after the deadly fall 2010 outbreak that began in the aftermath of the catastrophic 7.0 earthquake.

Bill Carbonaro (Sociology) and Shari Herman (Physics) Awarded Inaugural Graduate School Honors

Greg Sterling, Dean of the Graduate School, has announced the winners of two new awards in the Graduate School—one to recognize an outstanding director of graduate studies and the other to recognize an outstanding graduate administrative assistant. The awards, he says, were created to recognize exemplary contributions in graduate studies at Notre Dame.
